Magestic Software started August 25, 1998 offering Microsoft Office software solutions for individuals and businesses. Magestic also offered one-on-one Microsoft Office classes and at home workstation support adding to its growing customer base.
In September of 1998 Magestic begun to focus on the Healthcare market exclusively, at the time health care industry was at least 2 years behind other industries’ technology standards. Magestic focused on building database systems to facilitate a growing need to streamline reporting information to auditors such as JACHO, OSHA and NYSDOH along with creating software solutions to run day-to-day operations within any healthcare facility. Magestic Software’s first Windows-based application was a Medical Records Tracking Database. This product was created using Visual Basic, Microsoft Access and Crystal Reports. Magestic’s client went live with the application February of 1999 and used and recorded Medical Record Information until it the agency ceased operations.
Magestic then decided to expand its services by creating another software package that would expand on the Long Term Health Care agencies and its regulatory report obligations to New York State. The project for AssessTrak started in 2001 and was finished in 2003. AssessTrak software’s main functionality is to record, report and export assessment information to a centralized New York provider known as HRA. The first version of this software was piloted to rapid success by another one of Magestic’s client agencies. Around the same time, Magestic Software implemented another product to target functions for the Nursing Home, thus AlertTrack was created to capture accident occurrence information in the nursing home setting. This product was also piloted by the same client with the same level of success and satisfaction as AssessTrak.
Along with software for the health care industry, Magestic has successfully created a Web-based real estate application for a real estate brokerage that supplies their customers and employees with a centralized database to update property information.
In 2006, Magestic Software expanded its services to include Network Solutions to facilitate businesses that not only need software solutions but hardware and networking solutions.
Magestic’s founder Eric Hall has been involved in the healthcare industry for over 8 yearsas a Software Engineer, Project Manager, SQL Server Developer and consultant. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Devry Institute. In addition to his work for health care, Eric has implemented system Windows-based and Web-based solutions for companies in a variety of industries.
